Cake Wallet is a non-custodial, multi-currency wallet that emphasizes user control and privacy, with a strict no-data-collection policy. Our engagement focused on designing and engineering a robust backend system to meet the demands of their platform. The scope of work included the development of a high-performance backend, the integration of secure communication tools, and the implementation of a private payment processing solution.

The project involved system engineering a new backend in Go, selected for its speed and concurrency, to handle high transaction volumes. We also integrated the Twilio API to enable secure messaging for users. Finally, we implemented an integration for our own open-source payment gateway MoneroPay, ensuring private cryptocurrency payments that align with Cake Labs’ core mission.
