Case Study: Monero Konferenco

To ensure highly secure, high-availability operations for its annual international gathering, Monero Konferenco (MoneroKon) engaged us to design and deploy a dedicated, enterprise-grade digital infrastructure covering its conference management platforms, live streaming requirements, and web presence.

MoneroKon is a technical conference for researchers and developers in financial technology and distributed systems. The client’s operational requirement mandated full, sovereign control over all critical data and continuous, uninterrupted service for a rapidly growing global audience. Our approach included a multi-faceted architecture plan combining open-source virtualization with global edge security.

The project included the provisioning of the Proxmox VE cluster to ensure High-Availability and resource distribution. We deployed and integrated open-source components including Pretalx, Pretix, Cryptpad and Owncast. To guarantee global content delivery and shield the origin server from high-volume traffic, we integrated BunnyCDN with its DDoS Shield capabilities, providing continuous mitigation against network and application-layer attacks. The final step involved the delivery of the modern, high-performance conference website built with Vue and Vite, ensuring a robust user experience: https://monerokon.org
